Bipolar

Do any of you guys know or have any of you met anyone with Bipolar disorder? I have a cousin with this awful disorder. She may go a month or so and not be bothered by it, but then again, she may go a couple of weeks where she is so depressed that she will hardly even leave her house. It is sometimes very difficult but always extremely important to know how to deal with Bipolar individuals. My cousin is very sensitive and sometimes even embarrassed. Of course she is on medication, and that helps; however, we, her family, and her friends have read and studied manic depression so that we can better understand and help her any way possible. I have met so many people who do not understand the condition and even pass it off as someone wanting attention. I am not saying that those people do not exist, but I will say with confidence that is a very real disorder and that our duty is not to judge anyone; rather we should be willing to learn, understand and help. I would fell awfully guilty if something happened to her and I hadn't done everything that I knew to do. That's why I'm so willing to learn more and help more.

The World is Yours

My dream is that when I am able to retire, I will have saved up enough money to be able to travel the world. I know that is probably most people's wish, but it takes discipline. It is hard sometimes to pass on items you really want because you are saving for the future. When you think about the phrase, The World is Yours Now, what comes to mind. Of course, I know that the world is not mine, but with the right budget, I will be able to claim pieces of it before I die. As you may can guess, I am an active cat; I love exercising and stuff. I want to stay that way until I am old, and traveling is one way to make sure that I do. The World is Yours Now is a cool blog that talks about finances, but also all kinds of cool ways to make money. Maybe one day, my dreams will come true.

NFL Draft

The NFL draft was this weekend. For those of you ignorant on this subject, this is where the nfl picks college players to be on their teams. I have always followed two nfl teams: Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins. The only good side from their disastrous seasons last year is that they got to pick early in the draft. I think they both done fairly well in the draft. I just hope for Atlanta that Matt Ryan doesn't turn out to be another Joey Harrington. Only time will tell how well my teams done in the draft.

Blue Man Fraud

I guess all of you guys have seen what they have been calling the Blue Man on the news. However, the news media has been misrepresenting the cause of Paul Karason's condition as a result of taking Colloidal Silver. The truth is that Paul Karason is suffering from a condition called argyria that turns his skin blue. He got this by trying to make his own homemade colloidal silver. Instead he only made a concentrated silver chloride solution that is a widely known cause of argyria. This was just a huge smear campaign by the big pharmaceutical companies to keep people from using colloidal silver. However, pure colloidal silver is completely safe and non-toxic to humans. It is a powerful detoxification agent and has been proven to be very effective in killing bacterial, viral, and fungal conditions. So the important thing to remember is to know the difference between true colloidal silver and ionic silver chloride and to not try to make either on your own.

Current Events

Honestly, with the all of the extremely important news and events happening in not only the United States but the world today, it pays to keep up with all the current news. There is always some new something happening that seems to change things every day. One day we're suppose to drink a lot of water to help lose weight, but the next week it is unhealthy. But there's other things out there that I think about besides health stuff. The oil prices are completely ridiculous, Carter socializing with terrorist is unacceptable, and the potential of Obama being the United States, in MY opinion, is scary. I found a great site for current events. Tekgnosis.typepad.com has many different topics to check on. Visit it and see what you think.

Pitching Machine

I am coaching a 7-8 year old pitching machine team this year. Believe it or not, it's a blast. The kids are great. Our record is a modest 2 and 3, but, for what it's worth, the two teams that handed us our 3 losses are loaded with 8 year olds. My team and one other team have more 7 year olds and even a couple of 6 year olds. There are 4 teams in our league...it's a small town. Last night was the game of the year. We came from 4 down in the bottom of the 5th to win 11 to 10. I wish everyone could have seen these boys. They were so excited you would have thought that they had won the World Series. What made it so great was that Aiden, our short-stop, had been called out twice for throwing his bat, but he came through with the walk-off GRAND SLAM. Of course, it was a heartbreaker for the other kids, and I hate to see any kid lose like that, but our boys were great.

What makes coaching these kids so great is not only being able to maybe make a difference in there lives, but it's also my exercise on Sundays. We usually practice on Sundays, and I run with them, and just have a great time outside. Anyway, I thought I'd just brag on my team.

Walking

Walking is an aerobic exercise. This means that it increases your heart rate, making your heart able to pump more blood per beat. This, in turn, increases blood circulation throughout your body bringing more oxygen and nutrients to your brain and other major organs, increasing your lungs' ability to take in oxygen, lowering blood pressure, and helping reduce body fat.

Music

As I know I've mentioned in some of my previous post, I love music. I do not enjoy rap and classical, but other than that, I like about any kind of music. I good variety of cds and the right gym, and I would think I was in heaven. I recently stumbled on this blog with Joe Speranzella that is very interesting. The name of the blog is A Tic In The Mind's Eye. I have listen to the music on it, a little so far, and I have found it very inspirational. I do realize that I enjoy music maybe a little more than most, but you should just visit the blog and comment. Well, enough about that, I have to go get some sets of pull-ups in. It's beautiful outside, so that is where I'll work out today.

Prepaid Phone Cards

If you are like me you hate paying your local phone company for long distance access. They charge all these extra fees (toll accesses, service charges, FCC charges) and then the rate usually is not all that great either. So what I have been doing is using prepaid phone cards for all my long distance calls. Basically, you buy a card at a store and it has an access number that you dial before you place your call. They usually have a set number of minutes, and when they are used up you throw it away and buy another card. These usually give you a better rate without a lot of the extra fees.

One site that I have come across while shopping for prepaid phone cards is therichcom.com. It makes the buying and choosing of prepaid phone cards much easier for the consumer. The site is very easy to use. Basically, you select what country you will be calling and then it lists the rates that you can choose from. You select the card you want to purchase and they will send you your pin and access number in an email. It is just that simple. So if you are like me and are tired of using your local phone company for long distance, then I definitely suggest you look into using prepaid phone cards and shopping for them at therichcom.com.

Personal finances and health

If there is one thing that I know from experience and from proven fact it is that stress can be a sickness. It is no doubt extremely unhealthy. Many things can cause stress, of course, but probably the most common is money and finances. I have personally never gotten in to any kind of deep debt, but I have my share of friends and family that have. Not only do they loose sleep, but they loose their health. Different people handle stress differently; some eat all the time, and others hardly eat at all--either way is unhealthy. We all need a little personal finance advice every now and then. A good site for that is wisepicker.com. If you're stressed over finances, check it out. You health is worth more than many people treat it.

Ink Cartridges

I love computing, and I love using productivity software to make professional looking documents and specialty items. However, one of the biggest expenses I encounter is ink for printing, and it seems like the cartridges never seem to last long enough for what I have to pay for them. At work we use an HP Laserjet 4100, and its Hewlett Packard LaserJet printer cartridge costs well over one hundred dollars. At home I use an Epson printer and its ink cartridges cost over thirty dollars. It takes two cartridges a black and a color, and for some reason they both seem to always run out at the same time. So, I am always looking for ways to save money on ink cartridges since this is one of my biggest computing expenses. Inkjetdeals.info is a cool site that lists discount online stores that sell cheap inkjet and laser toner cartridges. They have listings for all major brands. They also have inkjet coupons available for these online merchants to allow you to have even deeper discounts. They also have various printer information ranging from troubleshooting information to tips on how to save ink. So if you are like me and are tired of spending lots of money on ink that I seriously suggest you check out Inkjetdeals.info.

Shopping for Video Games

I have a confession to make guys. One distraction that sometimes keeps me from exercising like I should is playing video games. I have always enjoyed playing them ever since I was a little kid. I have found a new site for shopping for video games. It is called ShopWiki. It is a site that actively crawls the web searching for every store on the Internet and returns results for items that you are shopping for. This means that you can find pracically any and everything for sale on the Internet at one central easy to use site. So, I can find everything I need for video gaming, from games to controllers to consoles, at ShopWiki. Also, since it searches the whole Internet, I can find supplies for my older video game systems like the Nintendo 64 which is good because these are becoming harder and harder to find. So, while I try not to let video games keep me from my fitness plan, I will continue to buy all the supplies I need for gaming from ShopWiki.

Take it Outside~

For some parts of the country, warmer weather has arrived. Now you can plan to do you daily exercise outdoors. Exercising outdoors can give you the benefit of Vitamin D absorption from the sun which, by the way, helps increase energy. Also the outdoors offers a change in scenery which can improve your enjoyment and motivation. Actually, with proper clothing, outdoor exercise can be enjoyed in cooler climates and can add something new and exciting to your Balanced Life program.

Lapolicegear.com has some of the best equipment on the market. You can order some of the finest there is including Blackhawk Gear. So if you're an officer or just interested in the gear, check it out.

Getting rid of Man Boobs...

Try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. This will help purify your body. Also quit drinking soft drinks. The sugar in soft drinks turns quickly into fat. Instead of soft drinks, drink plenty of water.

The cardiovascular exercise is important because it helps to burn the fat out of your system. Lifting weights will help turn some of the fat already in your system into muscle.

Although it can be very intense, interval training is great for getting rid of man boobs. These exercises speed your metabolism, and burn fat fast. The cool thing is that your body keeps burning calories after the workout, because your body has to repair and rebuild your muscles.

Lighting

With the expection of sleeping or watching a movie, I hate being in the dark. I'm not scared of it, I just had rather thing be bright. Some friends and I were grilling the other night, and I had forgotten to hook up the outside light; we had to grill in the dark--with a flash light. I have recently been shopping online for some outside lighting.

I have found a great website, farreys.com, that has lighting for all your needs. The have anything from fine art lamps to house of troy lighting. I bet I spent an hour on this site, and I still haven't made up my mind on a specific outside light. There are so many different and great models. If you need any kind of lighting, check them out.

Bad Credit

Do you have bad credit? If so, you are not the only one and there are lots of people and companies that want to take advantage of you. That is where a website like Bad Credit Offers comes in handy. It is the user's guide to bad credit. The site monitors the market and helps consumers sort through all the "bad credit" offers available to find the best product to fit their financial needs and circumstances. They rate the markets best bad credit loans whether it is a home loan, auto loan, or personal loan. They also compare bad credit credit cards for people with bad credit and credit counseling services that offer credit repair, debt settlement, and debt consolidation. So, if you have bad credit I suggest you check out Bad Credit Offers to make sure no one is taking advantage of your situation and that you are getting the right product for your needs.

Tennis

One fun way to exercise that I have found is playing tennis. I am not very good at it, but it is fun. The sport requires a lot of running and hand eye coordination which makes it a very good aerobic exercise as well as a fun sport or pasttime. I have been playing now for a few months. I find it very stimulating. I am starting to become a better player, but my serve could use a lot of work. I am thinking about getting some better equipment, so I will not feel inadequate when playing with some of my more experienced friends.

The best site that I have found for tennis equipment is Tennis Plaza. They have everything that you need including shoes, raquets, apparel, strings, bags, balls, and other accessories. You can order by toll free phone or securely over the internet with a very user friendly interface. I especially like the tennis skirts. They are very fashionable and are offered at a reasonable price. They have brand names with the latest garment technology including ClimaCool that keeps you dry and cool. I also like the tennis shirts. They have shirts for Men, Women, Boys, and Girls. They also have name brands that include moisture wicking knit fabric that allows the sweat to wick away from the skin to keep you dry and comfortable. They also have a good selection of tennis strings. They have strings that vary in gauge, length, and features. The strings allow more feel, do not slide during play, and have good elasticity allowing for better ball pocketing resulting in more precision and control.

So I suggest everyone to try taking up tennis as a sport and exercise. I also suggest checking out Tennis Plaza for all your tennis equipment.

Upper Body Sculpting

Here some tips that I've found helpful in helping sculpt my upper body.

You may have benched 250 pounds back in the day, but it’s important that you shape your workout to fit your fitness level right now. Don’t hoist more weight than your joints are ready to lift. Start low and work up to heavier weights gradually. Different muscle groups will require different amounts of weight.

Choose a weight that is heavy enough to challenge your target muscles, but not so heavy that your joints feel strained. Start with dumbbells that are at least 8 to 10 pounds and gradually work up to using 10 to 20 pounds or more, depending on the exercise.

If you are new to lifting weights, or have not done so for six months or longer, then build a base level of strength for eight to 12 weeks by doing one to two sets of eight to 12 reps of each exercise, two to three days per week. Rest for two to three minutes in between each set of each exercise.

Once you have a base level of strength, perform two to three sets of eight to 12 repetitions of each exercise. Rest for one to two minutes in between each set of reps. Do this workout two to three times a week with a rest day in between.
