Summer Heat

Summer time in Central Georgia can be dangerous. Yesterday, I just sat on the porch for about 1/2 an hour and sweat like I'd run a marathon. I washed my car and swam with my little cousin. I was completely drained by then evening. It wasn't until we got out of the small pool that I realized I had not had anything to drink since lunch. When I did finally got something to drink, I couldn't stop. I bet I drank 1/2 gallon of tea before I slowed down. It's really dangerous to go that long outside in 100 degree weather without something to drink. I betcha I lost 10lbs though. Just remember, if you're out in this kind of heat, drink plenty of fluids. It's easy to ignore the fact that you need fluids, but it's dangerous. When I was washing the car and swimming, I really didn't think I was thirsty, but this could have been a serious mistake. It could have easily caused a heat stroke. Summer heat is nothing to take lightly. Overheating is a extremely serious health riskMake sure when you're exercising that you're drinking plenty of fluids.
